ASPCA Poison Control Hotline

The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) is your best resource for any animal poison-related emergency, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you think your pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, call (888) 426-4435. A $65 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card.

FDA Animal and Veterinary Recalls & Withdrawals

Recalls – of which there are three types – are actions taken by a firm to remove a product from the market. Recalls may be conducted on a firm's own initiative, by FDA request, or by FDA order under statutory authority.

PA Dog License

Pennsylvania State Law mandates that all dogs 3 months of age or older must be licensed. Dog Licenses must be purchased by January 1st of each year REGARDLESS of when the license was purchased the previous year. State Dog Wardens are performing "License and Rabies Compliance Checks" throughout the Commonwealth using PADogLicense.com Real Time system to track unlicensed dogs. State Dog Wardens may issue fines up to $300.00 plus court cost per dog for violation of this law.

As soon as you know your travel details, contact your local veterinarian to assist with the pet travel process. Factors to consider may include meeting time frames for obtaining a health certificate, updating vaccinations, diagnostic testing, or administration of medications/ treatments.

Wildlife emergencies should be directed to the region office that serves the county where the incident is taking place. We appreciate your concern for wildlife. Please keep in mind that our officers cover large expanses of land and necessarily prioritize their work load. Mother Nature is sometimes difficult to see in action.

Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

The Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center was founded in 1983 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1988. Licensed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Pennsylvania Game Commission, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the PWRC serves Monroe, Lehigh, Northampton, Wayne, Pike and Luzerne Counties.
